Exceptional Family Member Program
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is designed to provide support to military family members with special needs. EFMP is a mandatory enrollment program that protects federal entitlements and military benefits of special needs family members.
Under the umbrella of the EFMP you have:
EFMP-FS (Family Support)
The Family Support function provides information, referrals, parent education, and recreational events.
All three functions work together and with other military and civilian agencies to ensure EFMP families have an enhanced quality of life as they relocate around the world with their sponsors.
Case Management System
Several exciting things rolling out to care for our EFMP families! On August 30, 2021, the new EFMP case management system was launched, part of recent improvements to care for families enrolled in this program. What does this mean for members?
PCS Screening is now electronic through the MyVector platform
No more paper screenings with each PCS - the system saves family's information for future moves
Receive an automated email to update your questionaire when an assignment is received
CAC-free secure system allows family members (non-CAC holders) to complete the screenings online
Eliminates the need for additional doctor's appointments in most cases
Explore available specialized care near military bases through the medical trends dashboard
More and new resources - this site is continuing to evolve and will have additional content in the future
