About us . . .
Part of the overall Youth Programs offered at Seymour Johnson and an integral part of the overall development of youth. Our Youth Sports leagues emphasize participation and skills training. The program is open to youth that are dependents of Active Duty and Retired Military, DoD and NAF Civilian employees and between the ages of 5 through 15 years.
Most leagues are coed and participate with community youth sports programs. We have seasonal openings for volunteer coaches and assistant coaches. Our coaches are required to attend classes and become certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.

Get Up, Get Out and Get Fit Together!
As an Air Force family fitness and wellness initiative, FitFamily encourages the ABC's of wellness:
- A is to plan Activities that include all family members
- B is to Build healthy habits that will last a lifetime
- C is to Count progress; small steps each day make a huge difference
- D is to schedule Day trips, game nights and fun time to foster togetherness
- E is to Encourage healthy Eating and cooking as a family
- F is to have Fun while creating healthy habits
Families can register as a team to earn points and achieve levels for participating in Family Fun Activities, Family Sports and Fitness and Family Nutrition. Recognition is provided at each level to encourage families to continue on the path of wellness. The FitFamily program encourages Air Force families to make healthy lifestyle choices and provide resources and tips in an effort to promote overall family fitness.
The program is open to all active duty, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and DoD Civilian families. Visit USAF FitFamily

Start Smart
This program is designed to prepare children for organized sports without the competitive environment. Parents will work together with their children in a positive team atmosphere to learn basic skills needed for success in future youth sports environments.
The Start Smart Program is available for all of our sports activites (Baseball, Basketball, Soccer) and is designed for 3-4 year olds.
The teams are coed and costs are $50 per child. Sign ups for the program run conjunctively with the programs for the older children. Parental participation is mandatory.
